Grant Funding to Black-led Startups in St. Louis

$50,000 equity-free grants and wraparound support services for Black-led startups in St. Louis.

About the Project

Entrepreneur Startup Business Development Corporation DBA Arch Grants is a nonprofit organization committed to building the future economy in St. Louis by funding startups with $50,000 equity-free grants and wraparound support services. Every year, they award approximately $1,000,000 to extraordinary entrepreneurs who commit to headquartering and growing their early-stage businesses in St. Louis.

Over 50% of the companies Arch Grants funds are led or co-led by Founders who are traditionally under-represented in the startup space – women, BIPOC, immigrants and/or veterans. While their focus has always been on funding diverse Founders, this project will allow them to award more $50,000 grants overall, and to focus additional grants to Black Founders and Co-Founders who will base their companies in St. Louis to help build the future economy. In addition to non-dilutive capital, each Black-led startup would have full access to Arch Grants’ suite of pro bono support services, mentorship opportunities, and connections to regional and national investors.

How far along is it

Arch Grants has always had a foundational commitment to creating a community of entrepreneurs reflective of the diversity of thoughts, backgrounds and people represented in the St. Louis region. This project is specifically focused on increasing the number of investments in our Black-led companies and also enhancing the support we are able to provide our Black Founders, both current and future.
